    Hi Rosemary!

Currently there are several campaigns going on that the fans have started to move Jericho to a new home on another station. I have emailed you details, please feel free to contact me or one of the fans that may contact you about our efforts!

Please join us at cbs.com Jericho forums and get involved. We've got a lot going and have had some positive news from Carol Barbee, Jericho's executive producer.

Hi Rosemary - I'm a GDT reader and a huge Jericho fan. I've posted on a couple of the Jericho boards, and have participated with some of the Jericho campaigns, mostly by email and letter writing. It's hard to believe that CBS cut Jericho, but has kept Big Brother on the air. The ratings have been about the same for both shows. Go figure.

Hi Rosemary- I hope I won't be excluded from commenting, because I'm not a fan! Not only that I've never heard of "Jericho"! I took the trouble to check it out and discovered it was canceled a second time. From the synopses it sounds like a serialization of the made-for-tv movie "The Day After". And given the state of the world today I don't want to think of what things will be like after a Nuke attack. I watched the clip where Jake and Hawkins share an emotional moment. It didn't entice me to watch the entire episode. But jeeze, email and letter writing campaign to raise the dead! I guess 'WHATEVER FLOATS YOUR BOAT."

I would love to talk to you guys, I'll be in touch this week.
Ajay, if you can, check it out from beginning. You might like it more.
While the premise is kind of dire, I find the show kind of inspirational. The destruction serves as the catalyst to bring out the best in people.
It's a moving drama, and it's also a fresh idea in story telling -- both nice concepts these days.

JERICHO ROCKS! Too bad there is a bunch of morons running CBS. I never ran a tv network before, but I know I can do better than the clowns they got at CBS. First thing I'd do is remove Big Brother 9 and all the CSI's and I'd air repeats of "JERICHO". It's amazing how everybody wants JERICHO and that's the only show that CBS refuses to air repeats of. It's really sad. I noticed "Shark" tonight suddenly got an 8pm slot without even fighting for it? then a repeat of that alien mind controlling CSI Miami in JERICHO's old spot? (C'mon the star of that show talks like a child molester/stalker) If they aired a repeat of season one and two of JERICHO the way they air pretty much every show CBS has, JERICHO would be more known to the world. Jericho is inspiring, everything else on tv is not. When did inspiration become the enemy of this country? Seems like no tv network has any good shows left. CBS's line up is ridiculous right now. Shark, then CSI? what a boring night.

Hi Rosemary I feel compelled to apologize to you for the preceding comment by the "alien mind" . Just goes to show what too much TV can do to ones intelligence.
  • Rosemary · 1 year ago
No apologies necessary. I kind of empathize with CBS -- I'm a little sick of the show clones out there myself. I still miss Arrested Development -- one of the funniest shows ever.
The truth is, fans get attached to shows and when they feel they've been ripped away too soon, they get upset because they've become emotionally invested in these stories.
Then they do these things -- the Jericho fans sent peanuts to network honchos, Arrested Development fans sent bananas Men In Trees fans are donating trees. It's an interesting approach, something beyond the letter campaign.
But I wonder, what do you next if this fails? File a lawsuit?
Also, why isn't there an easier solution to this? I mean we have so many outlets to the public out there -- the Net, iTunes, YouTube, etc. Shouldn't it be easier to find a solution here?

By the way CBS: Sorry I had to edit your handle, we try to keep everything here very G rated, because you never know who's reading.
